By Netball Australia / AIS

Netball’s future is looking bright with a star young gun, the Australian 21/U coach and the netball program nominated for an Australian Institute of Sport Award.

Netball has been nominated in three categories with Amy Steel up for Junior Athlete of the Year, Simone McKinnis for Coach of the Year and Netball selected for Program of the Year.

The Minister for Sport, Kate Ellis, announced the finalists for the coveted Australian Institute of Sport Awards yesterday.
“The AIS is all about achieving excellence and each of this year’s finalists exemplified this with their performances in the past year,” Ms Ellis said.
